About the Neighborhood According to the tax records, there are around 650 family residential properties in the South Oleander - Glen Meade area, which is actually comprised of six neighborhoods and the Oleander Court condos. Country Club Terrace is the area near the Country Club. Oleander Estates starts on South Live Oak Parkway south of Gillette and includes Kingsley and South Canterbury. Highland Hills is between South Oleander and Glen Meade and includes Azalea, Churchill, Knollwood, Hillsvboro, Brookhaven, Ashbrook, Randolph and parts of Gillette and Fairway. South Oleander is primarily Hawthorne and Live Oak. Glen Meade is closer to the hospital and includes Echo, Lynnwood, Marlwood, Waverly, Tattersalls, Druid, Parham, Blythe, Delaney and Glen Meade Roads. Historically speaking Looking at the history of the neighborhood, the oldest homes are two on Country Club. The home at 1517 Country Club was built in 1928, and the house on 1505 Country Club was built in 1929. There were close to 100 homes built around this time in Magnolia Place and on Oleander.
