Trends in bank owned property. The first chart shows the increase in sales, the second chart shows the decrease in prices, the third chart shows declining inventory. Bank owned property has become a big influence on the market. Bank owned sales were about 19% of total sales in 2012, 28% if you count short sales. That number is down from the 21% of the sales in 2011, up from 17% in 2010. If you include short sales, the number rises to 30% in 2011.
Meanwhile, bank inventory continues to decline
