The Wilson Team, Coldwell Banker Sea Coast

Biographical Information
Although I was born in Savannah, I have lived in the Wilmington, North Carolina area since I was two years old, with the exception of the time I lived in Chapel Hill going to school. I have been married for over 20+ years to Ashley Burton Wilson. We have two wonderful children, our son Spencer is a Medical School student at UNC-CH and our daughter Emily is a graduate of UNC-CH.

I have a diverse work background, having worked in advertising, steel, biomedical, and publishing. From 1993-2006, I was the owner/operator of Encore Publications, a local business that produced Encore Magazine and other specialty publications. After 13 years of successfully running that business I decided it was time for a change, and sold the company to Morris Multimedia.

I have always been interested in the real estate business and enjoy working with people. I have been with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast since September 2007. Prior to that I worked for a year in Brunswick County real estate and development at Cape Fear Realty.

I have lived here my entire life, so I know the region. I hope you'll consider me for your real estate needs.

Boards I have served on include:
Cape Fear Coast Convention and Visitor's Bureau Board, 1997-2002
(Board Chairman, 1999-2001);
Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Board, 1999-2001;
DARE (Downtown Area Revitalization Board, 1997-2001;
Lower Cape Fear Arts Council Board, 2002;
Community Growth Planning Board, 2000-2002;
Lower Cape Fear Historical Society Board, 1995-2004

Biographical Information
As a Wilmington native, I cannot imagine living farther than a short drive to the beach.. Wade and I have been married for almost twenty-five years and I joined him in the real estate business in 2013. We have two wonderful children, our son Spencer is a Medical School student at UNC-CH and our daughter Emily is a graduate of UNC-CH.

After graduating from UNC-CH , I taught school in Beaufort, North Carolina for two years. I then moved backed to Wilmington where I went to work with my father in the steel fabrication business. I continued there for the next twenty-six years. I first started working in the structural steel plant, learning business as a material handler, helper in the lay out department, welder, fitter and helper in the paint rack and loading area. I learned estimating and sales and then became the Operations Manager in charge of production control, purchasing and assisting with project management. I periodically teach Metallurgy and Blueprint Reading at Cape Fear Community College.

When I am not selling real estate, I enjoy helping animals that have been forgotten. I maintain a feral cat colony and have helped with rescued horses. I knew Wade and I had truly adapted to being "empty nesters" when Wade started teaching our golden retriever how to surf last fall.

Wade and I know and love southeastern North Carolina and we hope that you will consider us for your real estate needs.

Boards/Groups I have served on include:
Cape Fear Community College Advisory Board
First Presbyterian Pre School Board
Association of Women in Construction
Wilmington Junior League

Biographical Information
I'm originally from Asheville, NC and moved to Wilmington 7 years ago when my mom bought a home near downtown Wilmington. After visiting once, I decided to apply and transfer to UNC-W to finish my degree in Psychology. I was immediately attracted to Wilmington because of it's similarities to Asheville but with much better weather. I have always wanted to live at the beach and her move gave me the perfect opportunity to fulfill my dream of living in a beach town.

After graduation, I knew I wanted to stay in this area so I started working at a local dentist office where I still work 4 and a half years later!

A year and a half ago, at the age of 25, I decided to buy my first home; which is where my love for real estate began. I went out on a limb and took the real estate course at CFCC and was lucky enough to form a great relationship with my prior agents, Wade and Ashley Wilson. With their help, I have the opportunity to work with a great agency and team to start my new career in the real estate business.

Biographical Information
While I was raised in the Midwest, for most of my adult life I have resided and worked in the great state of NC, the last 8 years in Wilmington. When researching prospective places to live, I initially targeted this wonderful coastal city given its historical nature and fabulous beaches, but now have grown to love everything about the diversity of lifestyles and the vitality of the residents who truly love their communities.

I have had the privilege of living at our coastal beaches, as well as in several unique downtown neighborhoods. I’ve renovated and restored a variety of homes and managed many interstate relocations. And, believe it or not, I actually enjoy the process of moving from one home to another, as it provides an opportunity to rethink how to live my life and start anew. I find that your home environment often helps to define how you approach your life. That’s the reason I love my profession, as I have the chance to help clients find the perfect home for them. It can be one of the most important personal and financial decisions to be made!

I have both an undergraduate and graduate degree in business, working for over 25 years as a human resources professional. I've also worked many years in public service and education. With this experience, I have a keen sense of the needs and wants of those that I serve, and love the challenge to discover the best solution to any problem, whether that would be helping you to locate just the right home or allowing you to release the one you currently own with the best financial outcome possible.

I have two incredible adult children who show me how to live a good and balanced life every day. I am also active in this amazing community, serving and volunteering whenever possible on boards and committees for the greater good of all of us who live here. How may I help you with your home dreams?

Testimonials (go here for more!)

Top 3 reasons we would use Wade again:
1.  Very personable- while remaining professional.
2.  Excellent communicator- responded promptly to both phone calls and e-mail...and quick to pass along feedback from showings.
3.  Honest.  When we asked questions, we always felt like he was giving us a truthful answer (versus telling us what we wanted to hear).  We felt like this was very important in getting a SOLD sign in our yard.
